ABOUT US

OUR MISSION

The mission of Discipleship Journeys with Jesus is to equip believers at every stage of faith with actionable, biblical wisdom that grows them into mature disciples of Christ who fulfill His Great Commission.

OUR MINISTRY

Who We Are

We are parents, pastors, and ministry leaders who understand the spiritual struggles families, churches, and ministries face today. Together, we are Discipleship Journeys with Jesus (DJJ)—a global discipleship ministry.

What We Do

We empower families, churches, and ministries with a discipleship program—transformative journeys through Scripture—filled with actionable wisdom that equips believers at every stage of faith to become mature disciples of Christ who fulfill His Great Commission. Nondenominational. Cross‑cultural. Completely free.

Why We Do It

The Bible has never been more accessible, yet more and more believers live lives that don’t reflect Jesus and His call to make disciples. Around the world, information abounds, but transformation lags behind. As Dallas Willard observed in his book The Great Omission, “The greatest issue facing the world today, with all its heartbreaking needs, is whether those who, by profession or culture, are identified as ‘Christians’ will become disciples”—this is the crisis DJJ was founded to address.

How We Do It

Jesus commands us in His Great Commission to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19‑20), and Scripture calls us to maturity “to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13). Our ministry develops, translates, and freely distributes a discipleship program that turns biblical knowledge into daily obedience—strengthening families, equipping churches, and training ministry leaders worldwide to multiply disciple‑makers.

You Can Help

Whether you study it, share it, or give to expand it—you join a global movement guiding believers toward full maturity in Jesus and fulfilling His Great Commission. Step into the story—join the movement:

Dr. Dallas Willard | The Great Omission, p. 5

“Churches are filled with 'undiscipled disciples,' as Jess Moody has called them. Of course, there is in reality no such thing. Most problems in contemporary churches can be explained by the fact that members have never decided to follow Christ."

OUR VISION

Our vision is to take 100 million people on Discipleship Journeys with Jesus—read the story behind it:

Some Of The Stories that Move Us

Kenneth Walczak-Kline and Tierney Rae Kline

United States

Finding Discipleship Journeys with Jesus (DJJ) Bible study has been a Godsend like no other to my wife, Tierney, and me. Both of us have been searching and praying for this very thing—a fundamental Bible study where the Bible is allowed to speak for and interpret itself via the Holy Spirit's leading.

At a time in history when biblical doctrines and history are continually being challenged from within the church as well as outside the church, Tierney and I have likened DJJ to a city of refuge in the midst of endless attempts at rewriting the biblical worldview.

Our church family at Brighton Community Church, in Brighton, Iowa, has used DJJ for our Wednesday night study at church… we strongly recommend it as a biblical resource to any church or individual believer wanting a solid presentation of the fundamental truths of the Bible.

We analyzed it and studied it and saw lots of key points that we as pastors look for to provide healthy nourishment: balanced, correct, and biblical to the church.

We saw it was good, so it was used within our women’s groups. Then immediately we began using it within the men of our congregation. This brought a great awakening in the men’s movement in our church.

We also began a school years ago, and we took advantage of this opportunity and began sharing DJJ once a week with our high school students. We began sharing DJJ in their second language. So, we speak Spanish, but they were embracing the journeys in English. So, our teens are encouraged to learn a new language through this tool of Discipleship Journeys with Jesus. We’ve seen how many of these teens have risen to serve the Lord, to commit to God.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible, consisting of all the Old and New Testaments' books, to be the inspired, only infallible, authoritative Word of God. The Old and New Testaments' Scriptures are without error or misstatement in their moral and spiritual teaching and record of historical facts. They are without error or defect of any kind. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of the lost and sinful men. We believe in the Holy Spirit's present ministry by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. Adopted on July 18, 2016 This statement borrows heavily from the National Association of Evangelicals.

OUR JOURNEY SO FAR

2015

BIRTH OF THE DISCIPLESHIP JOURNEYS WITH JESUS VISION

During a prayer retreat in Balboa Park, San Diego, the vision for a new ministry, Discipleship Journeys with Jesus, was born. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of outlining the mission, vision, and a 52-week discipleship lesson plan.

2016

ESTABLISHMENT OF DISCIPLESHIP JOURNEYS WITH JESUS

The ministry officially received its Articles of Incorporation and was publicly launched. The first board members were established, and the inaugural Board meeting was held, marking the beginning of this new mission. Progress continued with completing the first DJJ lesson draft, followed by the initial alpha test of Quarter 1, Lesson 1.
